Now that a month has passed, and we’ve experienced just how ‘fast and furious’ the Donald J. Trump administration is moving, it’s unsurprising that the eagerly awaited Peace Negotiations with Russia are also moving at warp speed.
It arises now that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his team are gearing up toward meeting with Trump to bring an end to the Ukraine war and usher in a period of peace and cooperation between the two Nuclear Powers.
Washington Examiner reported:
“On Saturday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov revealed new details about the highly-anticipated meeting between the two world leaders, stating that ‘a dialogue on strategic stability and arms control is possible when we see visible shifts for the better in American policy’, and adding that that talks could include broad discussion about global issues, including the Middle East.”
The planning for the meeting is still at an early stage, and to stage an event like that is necessarily preceded by what Ryabkov called ‘the most intensive preparatory work’.
“U.S. and Russian officials are set to hold preliminary talks within the next two weeks as a precursor to a meeting between Trump and Putin. Such a gathering would be the second preliminary meeting that has occurred, as senior diplomats from Washington and Moscow already held constructive discussions this week in Saudi Arabia.”
While this Washington Examiner report speaks of ‘next two weeks’, during the swearing of new commerce secretary Howard Lutnik, Trump himself spoke of a new round of US-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia beginning this Tuesday. […]
