Syrians celebrated in the streets after Israel assassinated Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Sept. 27. The longtime leader’s death rekindled painful memories of atrocities the terrorist group committed in the 2011 Syrian civil war, which led to the deaths of more than half a million civilians.
Now, Walid Phares, a leading expert on Hezbollah and Lebanon, has told Fox News Digital that Hezbollah “committed ethnic cleansing” in Syria. Phares said the Lebanese terrorist group was also responsible for “uprooting of millions of Syrians, of all communities, mainly Sunni.”
Phares described horrific crimes, the hallmark of Islamist terrorist groups.
