ISNA and CAIR: A Dangerous Brotherhood Nexus

ISNA, much like CAIR, has a deeply troubling history. Both organizations were named unindicted co-conspirators in the largest terror financing trial in U.S. history—the Holy Land Foundation case, where millions of dollars were funneled to Hamas. In Canada, ISNA lost its charitable status in 2018 for financing terrorism. ISNA’s founding mission was “to advance the cause of Islam and serve Muslims in North America so as to enable them to adopt Islam as a complete way of life.”

Despite this well-documented extremist pedigree, ISNA continues to operate freely, serving as a platform for radical voices like Awad, who uses the organization’s reach to push a narrative of victimhood, resistance, and, ultimately, the Islamization of America.

Awad’s Speech: A Call for Islamic Domination

Awad wasted no time laying out his strategy, praising young Muslims for embracing Palestinian nationalism, which he framed as a universal struggle for “justice, equality, and freedom.” While superficially advocating for “civil rights,” his speech quickly took a more ominous turn, invoking Islamic history to justify dismantling the current “system of injustice” in America.

Awad likened modern America to the pre-Islamic tribal system in Mecca, portraying it as a society in moral decay that must be confronted and transformed. Citing unnamed sources, the Times reported that the covert drone program began under the Biden administration, but that Trump is taking it to the next level.

The Times report comes as the Trump administration promises to crack down on drug cartels, going so far as to contemplate invading Mexico. But for now, the CIA drones are simply collecting data that’s passed to Mexican authorities, according to the Times.

“The drones have proved adept at identifying labs, according to people with knowledge of the program. Fentanyl labs emit chemicals that make them easy to find from the air,” the Times reported.

“However, during the Biden administration, the Mexican government was slow to take action against labs identified by the Americans, although it did use the information to make arrests.” […]

Once revered as the nerd they loved, the South African entrepreneur now appears to be someone leftists love to hate. In an article for The Hill, former White House and Pentagon official Douglas MacKinnon tracked Musk’s fall from progressive grace, which occurred when he purchased Twitter. “Almost overnight, Musk became ‘Public Enemy No. 2.’ He will obviously never reach the number one position since the left has carved former President Donald Trump’s name in granite for that title,” MacKinnon astutely observed.

Now that Musk has landed as the point man for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk Derangement Syndrome has reached epidemic proportions. Rich Lowry put his finger on the symptoms of MDS in a piece for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, writing:

“Democrats are braying for Musk to get arrested at rallies in the street. They’re trying to subpoena him. They want to know if his DOGE team is guilty of breaches of national security. They are targeting him with a bill they’ve dubbed, embarrassingly, the Eliminate Looting of Our Nation by Mitigating Unethical State Kleptocracy (ELON MUSK) Act.”

The House Homeland Security Committee last week painted the contours of China’s surveillance surge, documenting more than 60 espionage operations in 20 states during the Biden administration that unmasked the breadth of Beijing’s efforts to steal America’s intellectual property and the tools of its military might.

In addition, lawmakers confirmed the Chinese spy balloon that embarrassed the Biden administration two years ago when it traversed U.S. airspace for days unimpeded likely contained technologies from multiple U.S. companies, illustrating how Beijing even uses U.S. friendships to gain advantage.

“There are still people who see China like we used to see it as an economic partner. They are not that. They are an enemy,” House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green told Just the News.

The programs in question, the Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program and the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Program, “increased the number of Foreign Service generalists from underrepresented groups by 33% and the number of women by 6%,” according to a November 2022 edition of the State Department’s in-house magazine. But those budding diplomats didn’t work to execute the Biden administration’s marginal support for Israel. Instead, they worked to end that support altogether.

A year after Blinken touted those programs, a group of fellows sent his top staffers a “dissent memo” that expressed “profound disappointment and anguish” over continued U.S. arms sales to the Jewish state. The fellows alleged that Blinken used their “diverse backgrounds as shields to deflect criticism away from the State Department,” adding that they launched a “resistance” against “an immoral course of action.”

Blinken’s team acknowledged that the disgruntled staffers were “not eligible to submit formal dissents” but passed the memo to Blinken and offered the fellows a meeting with him anyway, according to the emails.

The Trump administration is taking a different approach. “The full-court blitz to pressure the Biden White House into publicly breaking with Israel is generating renewed scrutiny into the fellowship programs as the Trump administration works to root out so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion programs across the federal government,” writes Kredo. “A senior State Department official told the Free Beacon the agency ‘is reviewing these and other fellowship programs to ensure they are consistent with the president’s EOs and the secretary’s American First foreign policy agenda.'” […]

In its “Black Consumer Advisory,” the organization encourages Black consumers “to spend your money where you’re respected, support Black-owned businesses, and demand businesses prioritize people over profit” while advocating for polices “that insure people of color, women, veterans, those with a disability, and all protected groups have equal access to opportunities across the country.”

It further notes that “Black consumers possess immense economic power, with a purchasing power exceeding $1.7 trillion annually.”

The document notes that during “nationwide protests against systemic racism in 2020, many companies and institutions publicly committed to advancing racial equity” but that recently, “there has been a deliberate retreat from these pledges, driven by political pressure, backlash against DEI, and unfounded claims of ‘reverse discrimination.’”

The organization further asks Black consumers to take the following actions against companies that have backed away from DEI:

1. Spend Intentionally: Support businesses and organizations that maintain and expand their DEI commitments and prioritize investment in Black communities.
2. Demand Accountability: Call out corporations that have abandoned DEI initiatives and demand transparency in their practices.
3. Support Black-Owned Businesses: Prioritize Black-owned businesses and service providers in spending decisions.
4. Advocate for Change: Push for policies strengthening supplier diversity, workplace equity, and economic inclusion for Black professionals and entrepreneurs.

Waltz, on “Fox News Sunday,” was reacting to a report from last week which indicated that Israel may strike Iran’s nuclear program, with the report saying that Israel “is likely to attempt a strike on Iran’s Fordow and Natanz nuclear facilities in the first six months of 2025,” and that the U.S. may provide support “in the form of aerial refueling as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.”

“I can speak to what the president has repeatedly said and that is Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. That not only would be existential for Israel, I think it would be existential for the entire world, because it could kick off a nuclear arms race in the Middle East,” Waltz said. “How we get there, I’m not going to get into the details here, but the president has also expressed a willingness to take whatever action is necessary. All options are on the table, but also to talk to Iran as well if they want to give up their entire program and not play games as we’ve seen Iran do in the past in prior negotiations.”
