“Early voting was required to end statewide on Friday, Nov. 1,” the campaign indicated. “At the last minute several heavily Democrat counties announced they would open their offices over the weekend to receive mail ballots. This is illegal, so we immediately filed a state court lawsuit.”

Defendants named include officials in seven Georgia counties: Chatham, Fulton, Dekalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Clayton and Clarke.

According to the filing, Republicans say: “In order to maintain competitive parity with its Democratic opponents, the RNC must shift resources this weekend from other mission-critical efforts to chase absentee ballots and encourage voters to return them to the Defendants’ newly opened offices. If the RNC doesn’t shift those resources, it will suffer a competitive disadvantage. If it does shift those resources, it must sacrifice other activities that are critical to its mission of turning out Republican voters and electing Republican candidates. Regardless, the Defendants’ illegal actions harm the RNC’s ability to pursue its core activities.”

The campaign said: “In a win for election integrity, the counties retreated from plans to keep drop boxes open over the weekend, but we continue to fight the illegal re-opening of the centers in state and federal court.

“This is a clear, partisan violation of the law intended to boost Democrat efforts in Georgia. With just two days until our country’s most important election, it is critical for officials to follow the law and run the election in a fair and transparent manner.”

“These actions by some Georgia counties do nothing but undermine the security of our elections and drive up mistrust in the process. Georgia must take immediate action to protect the vote.”

Cruz appeared on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo on the Fox Business Network, as Bartiromo noted that “Kamala Harris has two completely different messages when it comes to the war on Israel.”

She explained that when Harris is in Pennsylvania talking to Jewish voters, the Democrat stresses she’s going to make sure Israel has the right to defend itself. But when in Michigan, Harris tells voters she’s going to ensure there’s a ceasefire and the hostages taken by Hamas terrorists are released.

When asked what Harris’ leadership would look like on Israel if she wins the White House, Cruz replied:

“Kamala Harris is lying to people in Pennsylvania. And we know that because she’s not just some random person off the street. She’s been the sitting vice president for four years. And Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have been the single most anti-Israel administration this country has ever seen.

“It’s interesting when she did a ’60 Minutes’ interview she was asked who’s the biggest enemy America has, and she came back with Iran, which is a very good answer. And bizarrely enough, ’60 Minutes’ didn’t follow with the obvious response of, ‘Well then why have you given them a $100 billion? Why do you allow them today to sell 2 million barrels a day of oil? Why are you funding Iran, and Iran provides 90% of the funding and 90% of the funding to Hezbollah?’ They didn’t follow up with that question.

“But her record has been clear that if, God forbid, Kamala Harris is president, I think it gets much, much worse for Israel. Joe Biden’s a puppet. He doesn’t know is going on. He’s barely aware of what’s surrounding him. Kamala Harris is a true believer. I have served with her since the day she was elected to the Senate. She is hard left. Her voting record is to the left of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. That ain’t easy.

“I served with Bernie and Elizabeth, there’s not much room to their left. And Kamala Harris’ voting record is virtually identical to my opponent Colin Allred. Colin Allred is Kamala Harris. They are both hard-left, open-border, anti-Israel radicals who are desperately trying to cover up their record. They are hiding in Joe Biden’s basement together. And they’re counting on millions and millions of dollars from George Soros to try to convince the American people their voting record is different than it was.

“By the way, Kamala’s message in Pennsylvania, she actually meant it. You out to ask yourself, ‘Why didn’t she pick Josh Shapiro appear as her VP? The answer is in today’s Democrat Party they could not stomach a candidate who was Jewish. Shapiro might well have won the state of Pennsylvania for her. But the pro-Hamas wing of the Democrat could not imagine, could not tolerate such a thing.”

In his own close Senate race against Allred, Cruz lamented how Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has not given “a penny” to help Cruz win reelection.

“We are on our own, and we are in the middle of the single most expensive Senate race in the entire country,” Cruz said. “Chuck Schumer has been explicit I’m his No. 1 target, and Chuck Schumer and George Soros, they are spending more than $100 million dollars trying to beat me. … The Washington swamp doesn’t support me.

He then urged viewers to help him out financially with just two days before Election Day.

“Please go to tedcruz.org right now so we can fight back. We’re going to win in Texas but we need your help to win. If you are in Texas on Election Day, please, please, please come out and vote. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring anyone you can. This is all about turnout at this stage.”

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., the former head football coach at Auburn University, the University of Mississippi, Texas Tech, and the University of Cincinnati, made the statement on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo.

“He told me a year ago, Maria, when we were playing golf one day. He says, ‘Coach, I’m going to have a great chance of winning New York.’ I said, ‘You’ve lost your mind.’ He goes, ‘You wait and see. We’re going to work New York hard, we’re gonna get the people and tell people the truth about what’s happening, and we’re going to clean our city and our states up around the country, and New York’s going to be one of them.’ So, hey, he’s giving it a run for it, and I think he’s got a good chance.”

“Wow, that is incredible, if he were to take New York,” Bartiromo responded, as she noted large crowds of Trump fans waiting outside Madison Square Garden in New York City for a Trump campaign rally scheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

New York has most often voted for the more liberal candidate in U.S. elections, and has been a safe haven for Democrats since the 1988 contest, with former President Ronald Reagan being the last Republican to take the Empire State in 1984, when he won a 49-state landslide.

Bartiromo then asked Tuberville, who also sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee: “Do you think you could do a Republican sweep here?”

“I think we could – it’s going to be very close,” he replied.

“Again, I don’t know much about the House. I think the Senate – I think we’re going to get 51-54 seats in the Senate, just the work that I’ve seen over the last four or five months. And, of course, President Trump, he’s run a very the strong campaign the last three weeks, Maria.”

“He’s got to win. Our country is in such tailspin. The people that say they might not vote for Trump is the young people, and they’re voting against their future. I don’t understand that.

“I’ve been trying to tell all these young people across the country your future is at stake if you don’t elect somebody that believes in America, and believes in the Constitution like President Trump, you’re gonna have a tough time in life. So, looking forward to working, hopefully, with a lot of these young kids and getting them to vote for President Trump.”

“Christians are not tremendous voters in terms of percentage,” Trump said Wednesday at a Believers and Ballots Faith Town Hall in Zebulon, Georgia. “If they were, we would never lose an election.”

The president was responding to a question about a recent survey by George Barna at Arizona Christian University which found that “as many as 104 million people of faith are unlikely to vote in this upcoming election – and among those, 32 million self-identified Christians who regularly attend church won’t cast their ballots.”

“I think we’ve really energized a lot of people this time because they’ve seen how bad it is. This last four years has been, it’s been a horror show, an absolute horror show.”

He continued: “I think we’re gonna see those numbers goes way up. I’m almost sure of it, and I’m even hearing that from, statistically, because you see what’s coming in. And by the way, record numbers of votes are coming in. That’s supposed to be a good thing for us. … We want to make it too big to rig.”

He indicated the current administration has been targeting Christians for persecution, with some groups especially hard hit.

“I don’t know what’s going on with Catholics. Why are they after Catholics? The Catholics are being persecuted. Schools boards are being persecuted, parents.”

Trump said Democrats in power are “not a nice group of people.”

“They’re vicious people,” he said. “People are being persecuted, people of religion. And you saw little bit of it during COVID, where you’d have a service outside, everybody’s five yards away and they’re coming and arresting people. It’s very bad. But I think you’re gonna see a big change. I think you’re gonna see it now.”

He indicated religion is “like the glue that holds it all together.”

In addition to Christians, Trump noted gun owners tend to avoid voting.

“People that own guns, they vote in a very small proportion. If they ever voted, you could never lose. And in fact, the Democrats, the radical left, used to fear them and now they don’t fear them any longer because they don’t vote to the extent that they should.”

Trump was thankful for the presence of God in his personal and family life, saying: “When you believe in God, it’s a big advantage over people that don’t have that.”

“We are going to end all sanctuary cities immediately. We’re gonna end it,” Trump said during an all-women, town-hall meeting Wednesday in Cumming, Georgia, hosted by Harris Faulkner of Fox News.

He was answering a question from Nancy, a mother of a Georgia Bulldog college student who was on campus the day schoolmate Laken Riley was murdered by an illegal alien.

Mentioning the sanctuary city of Athens, Georgia, Nancy asked: “How quickly can you remove those threats to our society so our children can go out on a run as they rightfully should be able to do in a park in the daytime by themselves? It should not be like that.”

When Trump said he would put an and to all sanctuary cities, Faulkner asked: “Is that an executive order you do that with?”

Trump responded: “I can do it with an executive order. I’ll have to do it with an executive order. You can do it with the Aliens Act of 1798, we can do things in terms of moving people out. We can move them out of the sanctuary cities.

“You have some liberal crazy people that they fight – you know, normally you like to understand the opponent. Like in business, you want to understand what is the opposites, why do they want this? Why do they want open borders? Why do they want to do this? Why do they want sanctuary cities? Sanctuary cities are really meant for one thing. To protect criminals. That’s what they’ve become.

“We’re going to end all sanctuary cities in the United States and we’re gonna go back to normalcy. And we’re gonna have law and order.

“We have to reinvigorate our police. We have great police. They’re not allowed to do their job. If they do their job with gusto, which is what we want. We want them to be fair. The sad thing is you will always have a bad apple. Hundreds and hundreds of arrests, one bad arrest, and it’s on the front page of every newspaper and these people are incredible. They want to do their job just like the Border Patrol.

“We’re gonna let them do their job and I’m gonna give them immunity. We’re gonna protect them because they do things and they end up getting sued. They lose their family, they lose their house, they lose their pension, they lose everything. The police officers in this country are law enforcement and sheriffs, everything else, they have to be given back their dignity. They want to do their job. But we’ve become so politically correct.
