On Saturday, thousands of individuals participated in a march in Seattle to protest Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 Presidential Election. Antifa militants attempted to incite a violent confrontation with Seattle Police but were ultimately thwarted by a robust police response. This marks the second time this week that Seattle PD prevented an Antifa riot over the election.
The direct action featured a number of terrifying incidents, including the leftist extremist group dressed in black bloc and equipped with riot gear surrounding police vehicles – an act that resulted in human entrapment. Police trailed the group on bikes and in vehicles, including a police cruiser that was equipped with an LRAD system to issue commands to the crowd.
The protest kicked off at 1 pm outside the Seattle Center’s Space Needle. The demonstration attracted a diverse group of left-wing people. Some spoke out against Trump, Israel’s war against Hamas, and capitalism, while others expressed strong support for immigration and abortion, which they had been led to believe would be taken away under a Trump presidency.
The group did have one thing in common: they all believed Trump was a “fascist” and intended to fight his upcoming administration, according to protesters who had speeches that were met with cheers.
After the group rallied for a few hours, protesters took to the streets, chanting, “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA.” People marched with banners proclaiming that “socialism is the cure” and drawings of Donald Trump claiming he was a rapist.
