A South American ‘asylum seeker’ was found hanging from a tree in a New York City park in an apparent suicide after an underage girl he had allegedly raped on many occasions told him she was reporting him to police, according to reports.
On Oct. 9, NYPD officers discovered the body of Manuel Delgado, a 43-year-old Peruvian national who many have entered the U.S. illegally less than a year ago.
Delgado had also suffered knife wounds to various parts of his body, the New York Post reported at the time.
On Thursday, law enforcement sources revealed the identity of the deceased man, along with details about heinous crimes he is suspected of committing.
